The studio
Z-Studio Pilates sits at 1 Test Lane, Docklands, on a street that has never appeared on a map and never will. It has no reformers, no mats, no towel service and no lost property basket, because nobody has ever lost anything there.
The front desk is staffed by a rubber plant called Gary. Gary has an excellent manner and has never once answered the phone.
The timetable
Every class runs at the same time: never. This has done wonders for punctuality. In four years of not operating, Z-Studio has recorded zero late arrivals, zero no-shows and zero people standing awkwardly at the back wondering which end of the reformer is the front.
