inLIFE Wellness is coming to Pennant Hills, and the countdown to 31 October is on

Pennant Hills, mark the date. On Saturday 31 October inLIFE Wellness, one of Australia's fastest growing Pilates franchises, opens its doors at 2/340 Pennant Hills Road, two minutes on foot from the station. The fit-out is under way, the opening date is locked, and the suburb is about to get the kind of studio that members in Ingleburn, Crows Nest and Campbelltown will not stop talking about.

From one studio in 2019 to 56 and counting

The founder, Scott Capelin, spent 25 years in fitness and lost a fortune on a luxury gym before building inLIFE around the opposite idea: smaller studios, reformer Pilates mixed with strength and cardio, and a room where everyone knows your name. He calls it "the Cheers of fitness". The first studio opened in 2019. By March this year there were 56 across Australia and the United States, with a dozen more in the pipeline, and Pennant Hills is one of them, alongside Auburn and Lidcombe in Sydney.

The numbers behind the growth are the interesting bit. Roughly 70 per cent of inLIFE members had never been on a reformer before they joined, and about half had never belonged to a gym. This is a brand built for people who were never going to walk into a gym, and it knows it.

What is coming

Every inLIFE runs two kinds of class under one roof: reformer Pilates on the beds, and the brand's Fusion formats, which fold barre, HIIT and circuit work into the mix so no two weeks feel the same. Capelin's line is that "people don't want the same class every week. They want variety, energy and a sense of belonging."

Expect morning and evening sessions, up to seven classes a week on a membership, and everything booked through the inLIFE Wellness app. At the brand's other studios, members rave about Fusion formats like Barreformer, Streamline and Shape; Pennant Hills will publish its own timetable closer to opening.

Never touched a reformer? That is the point

Every new member starts with a one-on-one session with an instructor before their first class, so the first time you meet the machine there is no audience. Once the studio is open, the standard way in is a $29 trial: that private session, then seven days of up to seven classes, grip socks included.
